A candidate in Ecuador's upcoming presidential election has been shot dead.

Fernando Villavicencio, a member of the country's national assembly, was attacked after an event in the northern city of Quito on Wednesday.

The microphone that Cardi B hurled at an unruly fan last month in Las Vegas is now worth a whole lot more than it used to be, selling for nearly $100,000 Tuesday in an eBay auction.

The mic was initially put on sale by Scott Fisher, the owner of The Wave Inc, a Las Vegas-based audio production company that provided sound equipment to Drai's Beachclub on the day of the incident, according to Fisher.

Tory Lanez, the man convicted of shooting rapper Megan Thee Stallion in 2020, was sentenced on Tuesday to 10 years in prison, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office told CNN.

In December of last year, a Los Angeles jury found Lanez guilty of three charges related to the July 2020 shooting of fellow rapper Stallion in the Hollywood Hills, the Los Angeles County District Attorney told CNN at the time.

Lanez had pleaded not guilty to assault with a semiautomatic firearm, carrying a loaded unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and discharge of a firearm with gross negligence, according to prosecutors.
